Trump Criticizes Russia's Massive Airstrike on Ukraine
Says "He is killing a lot of people"
On May 25 (local time), U.S. President Donald Trump strongly criticized President Vladimir Putin in connection with Russia's largest-ever attack on Ukraine, stating that he would consider imposing additional sanctions on Russia.
President Trump, speaking to reporters before returning to the White House after spending the weekend at his golf club in New Jersey, said, "I don't like what Putin is doing," and added, "He is killing a lot of people. I don't know what has happened to Putin."
President Trump further stated, "We are in talks right now, but they are firing rockets at Kyiv and other cities. I really don't like it."
These remarks appear to be a criticism of Russia's largest-ever drone attack across Ukraine, which resulted in at least 13 deaths.
President Trump also addressed the possibility of imposing additional sanctions on Russia, saying, "Of course," and emphasized, "He (Putin) is killing a lot of people, and I don't like it."
In addition, President Trump stated that there had been "some real progress" in negotiations aimed at preventing Iran from developing nuclear weapons.
