Fastest 2 Million Units Sold Among All Galaxy 5G Models
Top Seller: S25 Ultra with Blue as the Most Popular Color
Ultra-Slim 'Galaxy S25 Edge' Accelerates Sales Growth
Samsung Electronics announced on May 26 that its latest flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S25 series, surpassed 2 million units sold domestically on May 24. This milestone was reached more than two weeks faster than the previous Galaxy S24 series.
This is also the fastest time ever for a Galaxy 5G smartphone to reach 2 million units sold. Samsung Electronics explained that sales are accelerating, noting that the Galaxy S25 series reached 1 million units sold one week faster than the Galaxy S24 series.

The strong sales performance of the Galaxy S25 series is attributed to several factors: personalized Galaxy AI, the most powerful performance in the series’ history, and enhanced camera features that improve the user experience.
According to an analysis of buyers, the most popular model was the top-tier Galaxy S25 Ultra. This model features a 200-megapixel camera and offers the best performance, along with the most significant design changes compared to its predecessor. Blue, the signature color, was the most preferred, followed by white and silver, which were also popular choices.
The “New Galaxy AI Subscription Club,” which Samsung Electronics first introduced in January this year, has also contributed to the success of the Galaxy S25 series, especially among customers in their teens and thirties. Customers who purchase an unlocked model and join the New Galaxy AI Subscription Club receive benefits such as up to 50% residual value guaranteed when returning the device after one year, and Samsung Care Plus smartphone damage protection. These benefits are designed to appeal to younger customers who want to experience new products without financial burden.
On May 23, Samsung Electronics launched the ultra-slim Galaxy S25 Edge, completing the four-model lineup of the Galaxy S25 series alongside the Galaxy S25 Ultra, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25. The Galaxy S25 Edge attracted significant interest from younger consumers, with over half of its pre-orders on Samsung.com coming from customers in their teens and thirties. This is expected to further boost the sales momentum of the Galaxy S25 series.
Jung Hojin, Vice President and Head of Samsung Electronics Korea, stated, “Surpassing 2 million units sold domestically is a testament to the completeness and innovation of the Galaxy S25 series, as recognized by our customers. We will continue to expand the benefits we offer to customers, including the New Galaxy AI Subscription.”
