Handonghun Campaigns in Songpa Wearing 'Kim Moonsoo' Attire: "Expose Lee's Incompetence and Break Old Pro-Yoon Practices to Win"

Handonghun, former leader of the People Power Party, emphasized on the 25th, "If we expose the incompetence of Lee Jaemyung (the Democratic Party's presidential candidate) on one hand, and on the other hand show the public our commitment to break away from the old pro-Yoon (pro-Yoon Sukyeol) practices, we will win."

On this day, former leader Han spoke at a campaign rally in support of Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party's presidential candidate, in Songpa-gu, Seoul, stating, "There is definitely a path to victory for us." This was the first time since starting his campaign support on the 20th that Han wore campaign attire bearing Kim Moonsoo's name.

First, Han remarked, "If, as candidate Lee claims, the cost of coffee is 120 won, then even Warren Buffett and Lee Jaeyong would open coffee shops in Korea," adding, "Will you stand by and watch as such thinking ruins the Republic of Korea?" He further stated, "The Moon Jaein administration ruined the country with so-called 'income-led growth' (Sojuseong), and now Lee Jaemyung says he will ruin the country with 'no-show-led growth' (Nojuseong)."

He continued, "Lee Jaemyung said he would appoint someone like Kim Eo-jun as a Supreme Court justice, so I pointed out, 'We must not make a ridiculous law like the Kim Eo-jun Supreme Court Justice Act.' After that, Lee Jaemyung backed down and said he would not pursue the Kim Eo-jun Supreme Court Justice Act." He added, "Although our party has only a little over a hundred lawmakers, having a small number does not mean we will always be pushed aside."

He also emphasized the need to break away from old pro-Yoon practices. Han stated, "This is the only way for Kim Moonsoo to win in this presidential election," and noted, "People in the reasonable center are hesitant to vote for Kim Moonsoo. The reason is that they misunderstand voting for Kim Moonsoo as a continuation of the Yoon Sukyeol and Kim Keonhee era." He continued, "That is why candidate Kim must clearly demonstrate, both in message and action, his commitment to breaking away from old pro-Yoon practices. If he does so, support will rise by 5%, even 10%." He added, "I have publicly and frequently told candidate Kim this, including through phone calls."

Additionally, he appealed, "Let us break down Lee Jaemyung's incompetent policies, dismantle the pro-Yoon world that many citizens are suspicious of, and move toward a new Republic of Korea led by Kim Moonsoo."
