Hampyeong County in South Jeolla Province announced on May 25 that it will hold an online special event to promote consumption of Hampyeong Hanwoo, a premium local specialty, in celebration of Family Month in May.
For five days from May 26 to 30, the online direct transaction platform "Hampyeong Cheonji Mall" will host the "May's Touching Table" event, offering Hampyeong Hanwoo at a 20% discounted price.
This event was organized through cooperation between Hampyeong County and the Hampyeong Livestock Cooperative, aiming to revitalize the domestic economy and increase the income of local farmers, in line with the family-centered consumption that peaks in May.
During the event period, a 20% discount coupon (up to three per person, with a maximum discount of 50,000 won) will be provided for purchases of 20,000 won or more on event products offered by the Hampyeong Livestock Cooperative Livestock Distribution Center.
County Governor Lee Sangik stated, "Through this special event, we hope to promote the excellence of Hampyeong Hanwoo, a premium local specialty, to more consumers and to increase the income of the producers. We will also continue to strengthen online sales channels through Hampyeong Cheonji Mall."
