Seol Nanyeong, the spouse of Kim Moonsoo, the People Power Party presidential candidate, openly criticized Kim Hye-kyung, the wife of Lee Jae-myung, the Democratic Party candidate, stating, "Corporate cards are public tax money," and insisted, "She should stop using corporate cards." In contrast, regarding Lee Jun-seok, the Reform Party candidate, she hinted at the possibility of unification by saying, "He is a family member we should embrace."

On the May 24 episode of Coupang Play's "SNL Korea Season 7" segment "The Branch Manager Goes," Seol appeared for a satirical political interview. Playing the role of a part-time worker, Seol described Kim Moonsoo as "a caring person who tries to make his wife happy," but also recalled with a laugh his blunt Gyeongsang-do style in the past, saying, "When he proposed, he said, 'If you have nowhere else to go, why not come to me?' It was completely off-putting."
When asked who is more romantic between former President Yoon Suk-yeol and Kim Moonsoo, she replied, "Since I don't know how or what kind of love former President Yoon Suk-yeol gives, I won't think about what I don't know. So, Kim Moonsoo," choosing her husband.
Asked who she thinks failed more in supporting their spouse between "Kim Hye-kyung, who bought food with a corporate card," and "Kim Keon-hee, who received a luxury bag," Seol said, "I think neither did well," but pointed out, "The first one (Kim Hye-kyung) did worse." She explained, "Purchasing goods with public tax money is worse." In an acrostic poem using Kim Hye-kyung's name, she continued her criticism with the phrases, "Kim... loses its fizz, Hye-kyung-gung Kim, it's a situation to be alarmed about."

When asked to compare each presidential candidate to a convenience store product, Seol described Kim Moonsoo as "clean spring water," Lee Jae-myung as "murky coffee," and Lee Jun-seok as "cool and sweet ice cream." When the host asked, "You said Kim Moonsoo can't beat Lee Jae-myung and argued for unification. Still, is he ice cream?" referring to Lee Jun-seok, Seol replied, "I feel like we are family," and added, "He is someone we should unify with and embrace. That makes him sweet and delightful," leaving open the possibility of an alliance with Lee Jun-seok.
