The Gwangju Arboretum and Garden Office announced on the 25th that it will host a special themed exhibition titled "Mysterious Tropical Garden Mysteries" at the Municipal Arboretum Exhibition Greenhouse from May 27 to November 2.

This exhibition is an interactive experience designed to spark interest and promote learning about animals and plants that inhabit tropical climates. Visitors will explore the exhibition greenhouse from the perspective of an explorer, searching for mysteries hidden throughout the space.

The exhibition area is divided into seven zones: ▲The Beginning of Exploration ▲Secrets of Plants ▲Garden of Tropical Birds ▲Garden of Waterfalls and Flamingos ▲Garden of Animals ▲Explorer's Challenge ▲Conclusion of the Exploration.

Each exhibition zone features a variety of interactive programs, including ▲quizzes about tropical plants such as Monstera and Canary Palm ▲a garden with life-size models of tropical birds ▲a photo zone with flamingos and neon lights ▲animal learning spaces with sliding puzzles and rotating panels. After touring the exhibition, visitors can also color tropical-themed postcards and create their own personalized souvenirs.

In particular, this exhibition introduces a newly established carnivorous plant garden, featuring 43 species of insectivorous plants such as Drosera, Venus Flytrap, and Nepenthes, which are popular among children. This garden provides an observation environment tailored to the eye level of children, and is expected to enhance the educational value of the exhibition. The Gwangju City Arboretum regularly offers a variety of citizen participation programs, including forest interpretation and experiential education programs.

Lee Jungshin, Director of the Gwangju Arboretum and Garden Office, stated, "This exhibition is an interactive experience that combines exploration and learning in nature, and will create special memories for family visitors. In particular, the diverse and rarely seen tropical plants, including carnivorous species, will make this an engaging and educational event."
