According to POSCO E&C on May 25, the company was confirmed as the remodeling contractor after receiving overwhelming support from union members at the general meeting held the previous day. The project will remodel a total of 3,485 households?Isu Geukdong (1,550 units), Woosung 2 Complex (1,080 units), and Woosung 3 Complex (855 units)?into 3,987 units across 6 basement floors and 27 above-ground floors. Compared to the existing complexes, 502 additional units will be offered for general sale. This is expected to contribute both to expanding new housing supply in the Gangnam urban area and to reducing the financial burden on union members.

Since the establishment of the union, POSCO E&C has operated a dedicated task force composed of in-house experts and partner companies for about two years to prepare the project proposal. The proposal included customized construction solutions such as improvements to slopes within the complex, plans for the demolition and retention of existing retaining walls, and optimized underground design.

The new complex has been proposed under the name 'The Sharp Isuyeok ELPLENO,' utilizing 'PLENO,' the Spanish word for 'completeness.' POSCO's premium steel product, 'PosMAC,' will be applied to the curtain wall exteriors and entrance gate designs. Landscaping will adopt the concept of 'an urban forest where water flows and light is embraced.' There will be a total of 12 themed landscape areas within the complex, and community facilities will include a golf practice range, multipurpose gymnasium, gallery cafe, library, and terrace lounge. In addition, all existing above-ground parking will be moved underground, and the number of parking spaces will increase by about 2.5 times, from 2,233 spaces (0.64 spaces per unit) to 5,584 spaces (1.4 spaces per unit).

A POSCO E&C representative stated, "Based on the technology and know-how accumulated through various remodeling projects in Seoul, Bundang, and other areas, we will transform this complex into a premium residential community."

Meanwhile, POSCO E&C has recently completed complexes such as 'Gaepo The Sharp Trie,' 'The Sharp Dunchon Foret,' and 'Jamsil The Sharp Luben,' and is currently carrying out remodeling projects for 'Bundang Mujigae Village 4 Complex,' 'Neuti Village 3·4 Complex,' and others. The company is also continuously developing specialized technologies, including a vertical extension structural system, high-rigidity reinforcement piles, and a modular heating and hot water supply system.
