Doosan Enerbility announced on May 25 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Western Power to develop and demonstrate a Korean mid-sized (90MW) hydrogen power plant turbine.
Doosan Enerbility will work on developing mid-sized hydrogen power plant turbine technology and securing mass production technology for related components. Korea Western Power will apply and demonstrate the turbine at new power plants.
The two companies also agreed to support domestic mid-sized and small enterprises participating in this collaboration in entering overseas markets with Korean hydrogen turbines. Doosan Enerbility Vice Chairman Jeong Yeonin stated, "By developing a Korean mid-sized hydrogen power plant turbine, we will establish a stable domestic hydrogen power generation foundation."
