Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Business Cooperation
The Bank of Korea announced on the 25th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the National Health Insurance Service on the 23rd to cooperate on joint academic research and the promotion of public health.

The two organizations agreed to organically combine health insurance data and economic data to conduct joint research related to public health and economic activity. They also decided to cooperate to promote public health through improvements in health behaviors and to ensure the sustainability of the national economy.
A Bank of Korea official expressed expectations for the agreement, stating, "By revitalizing empirical research based on public data, we will contribute to developing policy alternatives to address structural changes such as increased medical demand due to deepening population aging."
The official further emphasized, "The Bank of Korea will continue to actively pursue research and propose solutions to structural issues facing our society by strengthening cooperation with various external organizations."
