Park Wansu, Governor of Gyeongnam Province, attended the memorial ceremony marking the 16th anniversary of the death of former President Roh Moo-hyun, held on May 23 in Bongha Village, Gimhae, Gyeongnam Province.
On this day, Governor Park paid his respects at the grave of the late former President Roh together with Kim Kwan-young, Governor of Jeonbuk Province, Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, and Kang Gijung, Mayor of Gwangju.

The memorial ceremony, held under the theme "The last bastion of democracy is the organized power of awakened citizens," was attended by Kwon Yang-sook, the former First Lady, Cha Seong-su, Chairman of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, former President Moon Jae-in and former First Lady Kim Jung-sook, Woo Won-shik, Speaker of the National Assembly, bereaved family members, and citizens.
