This integrated center is a multi-purpose care facility created by remodeling the former district office building after the relocation of the Uijeongbu 1-dong Community Service Center.
The first floor houses the indoor playground 'Mom Pyeonhan Playground' for infants and toddlers, while the second floor features the after-school care classroom 'Together Care Center Branch No. 11' for elementary school students.
'Mom Pyeonhan Playground' is a state-of-the-art play area donated as part of Lotte Group's social contribution initiative, designed to allow infants and toddlers to play freely in a safe and pleasant environment.
Citizens who wish to use the facility can register through the Uijeongbu City Childcare Support Center for an annual fee of 10,000 won, and will then have access to both 'Everyone's Playground Branches 1 and 2' as well as this facility.
'Together Care Center Branch No. 11' is the largest among the care centers operated by Uijeongbu City, providing a space where elementary school students can achieve balanced growth through a variety of after-school activities.
Uijeongbu City has also expanded and opened adjacent city-owned land as an annexed parking lot, which is helping to alleviate parking shortages in the old downtown area and is having a positive effect on the city's appearance. Residents have also expressed high satisfaction with these improvements.
During his visit, Mayor Donggeun Kim stated, "I deeply appreciate the staff who are working hard to ensure the stable operation of the integrated center," and added, "Please continue to do your utmost to maintain thorough safety management so that children can play safely and freely."
Meanwhile, Uijeongbu City plans to introduce new childcare initiatives in 2025, including a '24-Hour Anytime Daycare Center' and an 'Emergency Care Facility for Elementary Students.' In addition, the city is actively promoting a pilot project for an 'Integrated Childcare Facility Cluster' in the Gosan District in cooperation with Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).
