Chungnam Office of Education Achieves Fiscal Execution Target, Secures 11.5 Billion KRW in General Grants

The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education announced on Friday, May 23, 2025, that it has successfully achieved its fiscal execution target for 2024 and will receive a general grant of 11.5 billion KRW in the 2026 budget from the Ministry of Education.

The budget support incentive is designed to encourage efficient budget execution by provincial and metropolitan offices of education nationwide. The Ministry of Education sets execution rate targets of 96% for the Special Account for Education Expenses and 98% for school accounts. Incentives are awarded based on the evaluation of each office's execution performance and independent efforts.

The Chungnam Provincial Office of Education was recognized for achieving the Ministry of Education's targets by establishing a systematic fiscal management plan from the beginning of the 2024 fiscal year, conducting detailed monthly analyses of budget execution, sharing these findings among departments, and strengthening communication between institutions to ensure efficient execution.

In particular, to reflect diverse opinions from schools and provide practical support, the office actively promoted on-site fiscal execution support through visits and information-sharing sessions, closely engaging with the field.

As a result of these efforts, the office achieved the fiscal execution targets set by the Ministry of Education and secured an incentive of 11.5 billion KRW in general grants?7.5 billion KRW from the Special Account for Education Expenses and 4 billion KRW from school accounts.
