ChatGPT, Drone, and Electric Vehicle Practice Sessions
'Future Technology School' Operated for High School Students
Sequential Program with Participation from Four Universities and Institutions
Gwangsan District in Gwangju announced on May 21 that it will operate the 'Future Technology School,' a specialized educational program focused on future technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), to strengthen the creativity and convergence capabilities of local youth.
Gwangsan District has partnered with local universities and institutions to provide future technology-based education in areas such as artificial intelligence, coding, and ChatGPT. The program consists of four sessions in total. Participating institutions include Honam University (AI convergence), Gwangju Health University (advanced medical technology), the National Gwangju Science Museum (aerospace), and Nambu University (automotive and mechanical engineering).
More than 70 high school students from the district participated in the first session, which was held recently. The session featured four programs: coding practice using ChatGPT, assembly and operation of AI robots and drones, electric vehicle production and autonomous driving experience, and AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) practice. Career counseling was also provided through mentoring by professional experts.
The second Future Technology School session is scheduled to be held in July at Gwangju Health University, focusing on advanced medical technology. For more details, contact the Gwangsan District Education Library Division.
