First Unveiling of 'Duolac Brain Guard'
Showcasing Innovative Probiotics at Vitafoods Europe 2025

At this exhibition, held from May 20 to 22 (local time) in Barcelona, Spain, Cell Biotech's Duolac participated with an independent booth and explored various business opportunities with the goal of expanding exports to the European market.
Cell Biotech's Duolac has been the first Korean company to participate in Vitafoods Europe with an independent booth. Notably, in 2002, the company introduced its 'dual coating' technology at this exhibition for the first time, which increases the intestinal survival rate of probiotics by up to 221 times. Based on such achievements, K-Probiotics are now exported to 55 countries worldwide, including Denmark, the home of probiotics.
'Vitafoods Europe' is the world's largest health functional food exhibition, which has been held since 1997. It offers a comprehensive overview of global trends and technological advancements. This year's exhibition featured 1,400 companies from 162 countries, and over 20,000 industry experts gathered to share the latest trends in the health functional food sector.
This year's exhibition highlighted 'lifelong health' as the main trend, with various functional ingredients for healthy aging attracting attention. Pet products also stood out, with a dedicated pet section newly established. Probiotics products performing a wide range of roles also garnered interest. Probiotics products with diverse functionalities throughout all stages of life were introduced, including those for immune management, mental health improvement, weight loss, muscle gain, metabolic disease improvement, and women's health enhancement.
In line with these global trends, Cell Biotech's Duolac presented two new products?'Duolac Brain Guard' and 'Duolac Slim Pet'?in the 'New Product Zone' and 'Pet Nutrition Zone,' which showcase innovative products. In particular, 'Duolac Brain Guard,' which was unveiled for the first time at this exhibition, is a product that has clinically demonstrated the effectiveness of CBT probiotics in improving mild cognitive impairment.
In addition, Cell Biotech's Duolac highlighted its global competitiveness by showcasing its probiotic development technology and manufacturing expertise, including the initiation of clinical trials for the innovative colorectal cancer drug 'PP-P8' using K-Probiotics, the highest number of FDA GRAS listings in the world, and the newly acquired 'OK Kosher' certification.
