The domestic real estate information platform Dabang is celebrating its 12th anniversary this year.
According to Dabang on May 21, the platform has recorded a cumulative total of 26 million application downloads since launching its first service in 2013.
The cumulative number of property listings registered has reached 50,576,497. If these were stacked at the average ceiling height of 2.2 meters (from floor to ceiling), the total would reach 111,268 kilometers. This is 134,382 times higher than the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, known as the tallest building in the world, and 12,574 times higher than Mount Everest. It is also high enough to circle the Earth approximately 2.8 times.
Dabang has grown by launching a differentiated mobile app in 2013 targeting the 2030 generation, who found it difficult to access real estate information. The platform is recognized for creating a unique user experience by providing not only real estate information but also personalized services and real-time market analysis data.
In July last year, Dabang added "Petsekwon" data, which provides information on pet service facilities, in response to the era of 10 million households with pets. Last month, the company introduced a community service called "Neighborhood Stories," allowing users to freely communicate and share information about regions and properties.
In addition, Dabang offers data such as "Dabang Yeojido," which analyzes the average monthly rent and jeonse levels for studio apartments in multi-family and villa buildings in Seoul, and "Apartment Dabang Yeojido," which visualizes the average sales and jeonse prices of apartments nationwide.
Along with providing user-tailored services, Dabang cites its cooperation with licensed real estate agents as another factor behind its growth. From the early stages of its service, Dabang has strengthened partnerships with partner agents, laying the foundation for mutual growth. In 2022, Dabang signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Association of Realtors (Hangonghyeop) to explore practical cooperation measures for creating a safe and transparent real estate transaction environment.
In December last year, Dabang introduced the "AI Detailed Description Auto-Generation" feature, which applies generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology to help member agents register property information easily and accurately.
A Dabang representative stated, "Our 12 years of growth is the result of continuous innovation based on trust with our users and partners," and added, "We will continue striving to become a unique and irreplaceable comprehensive real estate platform, going beyond simply providing real estate information."
