This exit connects Guseong Station on the GTX-A line across the Gyeongbu Expressway toward the Bojeong-dong direction. It is scheduled to open at the end of next month. The inspection that day covered the progress of the exit construction, pedestrian routes for citizens, and the overall surrounding transportation infrastructure.
The city plans to establish a temporary pedestrian path directly connecting the exit to adjacent areas and to install a temporary parking lot with a capacity of 82 spaces nearby. To ensure the safety of citizens using the facility at night, additional streetlights and CCTV cameras will be installed.
Bus routes will also be adjusted to improve public transportation accessibility. A new bus stop will be established near the exit, and seven routes, including village bus numbers 19 and 58, will be adjusted to stop there.
Lee Sangil, Mayor of Yongin, stated, "The opening of Exit 5 at Guseong Station will be an important turning point in improving transportation convenience for citizens," and added, "We will thoroughly improve the pedestrian environment and the connected transportation system so that citizens can use public transportation more safely and conveniently."
