Yoon Yeojoon: "Kim Moonsoo Still Clings to Unification with Lee Junseok"

Yoon Yeojoon, the Standing Chief Election Committee Chair of the Democratic Party of Korea's election campaign committee, stated, "Anti-Myung (anti-Lee Jaemyung) cannot serve as a justification for a big tent," adding, "Everyone knows that this is not a big tent, but an empty tent, a torn tent."
At the central election committee meeting held at the Democratic Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on the 21st, Chair Yoon said, "Kim Moonsoo, the presidential candidate of the People Power Party, is still unable to let go of the idea of unifying candidates, as he continues to offer words of encouragement to Lee Junseok, the presidential candidate of the Reform New Party." He criticized the push for candidate unification, saying, "Their sole aim is to extend the rule of far-right insurrectionist forces and to secure an acquittal for former President Yoon Sukyeol."
Chair Yoon also commented on Han Donghoon, former leader of the People Power Party, saying, "He opposed martial law and supported impeachment, so isn't it inconsistent for him to campaign in support of candidate Kim, who could not clearly distance himself from former President Yoon?" He further pointed out, "Did former President Yoon's resignation statement contain even a single line about martial law or remorse?"
He emphasized, "The public sees through attempts to ignore public sentiment and deceive the people," and urged, "Let us humbly seek support and achieve victory together with the people."
Meanwhile, prior to the meeting, the Democratic Party launched a local currency participation challenge to help revitalize neighborhood businesses. Chair Yoon remarked, "Citizens who experienced disaster relief funds during the COVID-19 pandemic learned firsthand how effective a direct injection of funds?rather than a trickle-down effect?can be." He added, "However, even that spending did not go entirely to neighborhood businesses."
He continued, "Local currency channels residents' spending back into the community," and encouraged participation by saying, "I hope more party members and supporters will use local currency to help even more neighborhood merchants."
