On the afternoon of May 19, Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the completion ceremony for the 'Girin Children's Park Facility Improvement' project held at Girin Children's Park, 737-3 Sanggye-dong.
Girin Children's Park began remodeling work in February to address the inconvenience experienced by local residents due to outdated playground equipment and rest areas. The renovation was completed in about three months.
To create a safe and pleasant play space for children, the existing combination playground equipment was replaced, the rubber chip flooring was refurbished, and additional play facilities for infants and toddlers were installed.
In addition, the walking paths were upgraded with elastic pavement, and rest areas for guardians were also improved.
Approximately 100 people attended the completion ceremony, including Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, district council members, and local residents. The event included a progress report, congratulatory remarks, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a tour of the park.
Mayor Oh Seungrok said, "I hope you and your children enjoy pleasant and comfortable times in this newly renovated space," and added, "Since parks are living spaces frequently visited by residents, we will continue to inspect and improve them regularly."
