The Damyang Cultural Foundation (Chairperson Jung Chulwon) announced on the 19th that it held the first session of the "Byulseureun Club - Tourist Site Edition" event at Juknokwon on the 17th, officially launching its living culture and arts club performance and experience programs for the year.
This event featured clubs from a variety of fields, including bands, Zumba dance, and environmental ecology, offering performances and hands-on experiences to both residents and tourists. "Byulseureun Club - Tourist Site Edition" is a program involving 22 living culture and arts clubs selected through a public contest in March. Following last year's "Traditional Market Edition," this year's program will take place at major tourist attractions such as Juknokwon, Metasequoia Land, and Dambit Outdoor Music Hall.
The foundation expects that this initiative will provide a platform for clubs to engage in cultural and artistic activities on their own initiative, while also offering local residents opportunities to enjoy culture in their daily lives, thereby bringing more vibrancy to tourist sites. The entire program is scheduled to be held ten times in total, on Saturdays each month, through November.
A foundation representative stated, "We hope that cultural and artistic communities will play a central role in providing unique experiences to visitors to Damyang, and that this will help strengthen the foundation for cultural activities within the region."
