Earlier in March, the city collected excellent case studies through a public contest. Eight cases were selected as outstanding examples, including two Excellence Awards and six Encouragement Awards, through an online review with citizen participation and deliberation and resolution by the Pyeongtaek City Active Administration Committee.
The cases selected this time include: early implementation of the Pyeongtaek~Poseung Railway Section 3 project; budget efficiency in the process of purchasing land owned by Korea Railroad Corporation; and installation and legislative promotion of English traffic safety signs. The city plans to provide incentives to the public officials recognized for their outstanding active administration.
Mayor Jung Jangsun of Pyeongtaek stated, "We will continue to spread the culture of active administration and further strengthen our employees' capacity for execution."
