The main content of the training includes accident case studies within educational institutions, key provisions of the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, and practical accident prevention measures that can be implemented at schools and organizations of various levels.
The special lectures will feature a total of four experts, including representatives from the Mokpo Branch of the Gwangju Regional Employment and Labor Office, the Jeonnam Branch of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and dedicated personnel from the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education specializing in major accidents. They will provide lectures on the Serious Accidents Punishment Act and real-life accident cases from the field. In addition, the sessions will offer guidance on seasonal safety rules, such as methods for preventing heat-related illnesses and providing first aid in response to climate change-related heat waves.
Kang Sangcheol, Director of the Safety and Welfare Division, stated, "We are preparing to ensure the training is effective by cooperating with professional safety organizations," and added, "We hope this training will raise awareness of major accidents at educational sites and contribute to the spread of a safety culture."
