Ordinance Revision on Parking Lots
Contributing to Alleviating Financial Burdens
The revision of the parking lot ordinance in Seo-gu, Gwangju has led to an adjustment in parking fees at Yangdong Traditional Market, thereby alleviating the financial burden on market merchants.
On May 17, Seo-gu Council Member Sooyoung Kim received a plaque of appreciation from the Yangdong Market Merchants Association (President Yongmok Kim).
The Yangdong Market Merchants Association presented the plaque to Council Member Kim in recognition of her dedication as a three-term council member and as the vice chairperson during the first half of the 9th council. Despite her busy legislative schedule, she has continuously listened to the voices of the Yangdong Traditional Market merchants and contributed to the development of the market. Through the recent amendment to the parking lot ordinance, she helped reduce the financial burden on merchants and actively took the lead in promoting the welfare and safety of local residents. The plaque expresses the association’s gratitude for her devoted efforts.
Kim stated, "For local council members, communication with residents is fundamental?it would not be an exaggeration to say it is everything. I will continue to listen to the voices of residents and carry out council activities together with them, always with a spirit of service."
