'Dongseo Design and Art Practical Skills Competition' Kicks Off... Jointly Organized by Dongseo University College of Design and College of Media Content

The 30th Competition to Be Held on the 24th

Dongseo University will host the 30th Dongseo Design and Art Practical Skills Competition for middle and high school students across the country.

This competition will take place on May 24 at the Dongseo University campus and is jointly organized by the College of Design and the College of Media Content. A total of 939 middle and high school students from all over the country are expected to participate. The middle school division will compete in still life watercolor and still life sketching, while the high school division will compete in seven categories: basic design, drawing, situational expression, comic strip, and creative thinking.

Through this competition, Dongseo University aims to discover creative talent in the design and art content fields and to provide practical opportunities for students exploring their career paths.

On the day of the competition, there will be campus tours and meetings for accompanying teachers and art academy directors. During these events, Dongseo University will introduce the curricula of the College of Design and the College of Media Content and offer academic counseling sessions.

The exhibition of winning works and the awards ceremony will be held on June 20 at the Dongseo University Design Hall Media Art Gallery. The grand prize winner will receive a full four-year tuition waiver. The gold prize winner will receive a two-year tuition waiver. Four silver prize winners will each receive a one-year tuition waiver, and thirteen bronze prize winners will each receive a one-semester tuition waiver. All winners will be awarded certificates and scholarships.

A representative from Dongseo University stated, "We plan to continue providing a variety of educational programs and support so that students discovered through this competition can grow into future leaders in the design and content industries."
