Sim Neoul's "Why Must Everyone Die" Released on Yes24 Original

"Why Must Everyone Die" is a full-length novel by Sim Neoul, a prominent young writer representing Korean science fiction literature. Sim Neoul has made a fresh impact with witty works such as "I Must Never Grow Old So Pathetically" and "Thanks God, It's Friday," earning praise from critics and readers alike as "a rising star who will lead Korean SF literature into the 21st century."

First unveiled in a serialized format on Crema Club's content serialization service "Yes24 Original," "Why Must Everyone Die" depicts a hellscape created by humanity's desire for "immortality." Set in the near future where people have become dependent on artificial intelligence, the story revolves around the miraculous drug "Chronostasin" and sharply highlights the ethical issues of upcoming medical and pharmaceutical technologies.

This work, which premiered on May 16, will be serialized every Friday until June 13. After the serialization ends, it will be available as a single-volume eBook through Crema Club starting June 20.

To commemorate the original serialization of "Why Must Everyone Die," Yes24 is holding a comment event until May 30. Thirty readers who leave a comment expressing their anticipation will be selected by lottery to receive a 30-day free pass to Yes24's eBook subscription service, Crema Club.

Jung Jina, head of the Crema Club team at Yes24, said, "'Why Must Everyone Die' is a work in which Sim Neoul, who has long received strong support and love from Korean SF readers, explores humanity's desire for immortality through a medical thriller and action adventure. We hope that both readers who have been waiting for Sim's new work and those experiencing SF novels for the first time will enjoy this new release, available first through 'Yes24 Original.'"

"Yes24 Original" is a flagship content series planned and operated by Yes24's eBook subscription service, Crema Club, which collaborates with writers from various genres to exclusively serialize new works. In April, it received much love by exclusively releasing poet Na Taejoo's essay "Na Taejoo's Wildflower Life Lessons" for the first time.
