The briefing was attended by the Deputy Mayor, members of the Gimpo City Informatization Committee, and approximately 30 officials from related informatization departments. During the event, the direction for project implementation and the main schedule were shared, and participants exchanged a variety of opinions on the effectiveness and feasibility of the project.
This comprehensive plan is a five-year mid- to long-term strategy designed to systematically establish informatization strategies across Gimpo City's administration, industry, and all aspects of citizens' lives in line with advancements in digital technology. The goal is to integrate cutting-edge technologies such as AI, data, and cloud computing into administrative services and a citizen-centered digital environment.
In particular, the plan will focus on key tasks such as strategies for transitioning to cloud-based systems to enhance the flexibility and scalability of administrative services, the use of artificial intelligence in administration, strengthening data governance systems, and expanding safety nets to improve the quality of life for citizens.
Through these efforts, Gimpo City expects not only to build a stable digital infrastructure and realize a smart administrative environment, but also to lay the foundation for all citizens to enjoy convenient and safe public services.
Lee Seokbeom, Deputy Mayor and Chair of the Gimpo City Informatization Committee, stated, "This comprehensive plan will serve as a blueprint for digital administrative innovation in Gimpo City," adding, "I hope that the voices from the field and the opinions of experts will be organically reflected so that a truly effective plan that citizens can feel is established."
Going forward, Gimpo City plans to establish the comprehensive plan by November 2025 through citizen feedback, consultations with related departments, and expert advice. Once the plan is completed, the city will actively promote the advancement of digital-based administrative services and the realization of a cloud-centered intelligent information society based on the plan.
