"No Significant Findings from Medical Examination, Returned to Detention Center"
Huh Kyungyoung, Honorary Chairman of the National Revolutionary Party, who has been detained on charges including quasi-forcible molestation and fraud, was transported to a hospital after complaining of pain early in the morning while in the detention center.
According to the police and fire authorities, at around 1:45 a.m. on May 19, Huh, who was in custody at the Uijeongbu Police Station detention center, complained of abdominal pain.
Huh was transported to the hospital by 119 emergency medical personnel who responded to the scene.
An investigative agency official explained, "He was transported to the hospital after complaining of pain, but as there were no significant findings from the medical examination, he has since returned to the detention center."
Previously, on May 16, the Uijeongbu District Court issued an arrest warrant for Huh on charges of fraud, violation of the Political Funds Act, and quasi-forcible molestation, citing concerns over the destruction of evidence.
