Commemorating the Friendship City Agreement Signed Last January
Seocho District in Seoul will hold the Seocho Direct Transaction Market as the "Jinju City Special Sales Exhibition" at the Seocho District Office Plaza from May 22 to 23. The "Jinju City Special Sales Exhibition" has been organized to introduce outstanding agricultural and specialty products from Jinju City, which signed a friendship city agreement with Seocho District in January, to Seocho residents, and to provide new sales channels for producers.

The Seocho Direct Transaction Market will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Main items for sale include around 60 types of fresh produce (such as paprika, chili peppers, strawberries, yam, eco-friendly bananas, cucumbers, etc.), about 80 types of processed foods (including Makgeolli, baked rice cakes, perilla oil, soybean milk, etc.), livestock products (honey, eggs, Korean beef, Korean pork), merchandise featuring Jinju City's mascot Hamo, silk accessories, and natural dye items.
Products that were previously available only online through Jinju Dream Mall can now be purchased in person at the event, and tasting corners will be set up for some items.
Additionally, as part of a rice consumption promotion campaign by the Jinju City branch of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, there will be an event giving away 700 packs of 500g Yeonghojinmi rice. At the Jinju City promotional booth, residents who purchase agricultural products will receive souvenirs, and a variety of attractions, including a Cattleya (orchid) exhibition, will also be offered.
Seocho District Mayor Jun Sungsoo stated, "This Jinju City Special Sales Exhibition is one of the practical cooperation models between friendship cities and will serve as an opportunity to invigorate the local economy," adding, "We will continue to realize the value of mutual growth through ongoing intercity exchanges and the operation of direct transaction markets."
