On the 18th, Kwon Young-guk, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Labor Party, mentioned during a TV debate hosted by the National Election Commission, "One of the biggest demands of the 2030 generation is the enactment of the Anti-Discrimination Act," and asked, "Does candidate Lee agree with the enactment of the Anti-Discrimination Act?" Kwon referred to the promises made by former presidents Kim Dae-jung, Roh Moo-hyun, and Moon Jae-in, stating, "Three decades have passed," and emphasized, "Even if it is Lee Jae-myung now, it should be done now, not later."

Lee responded, "It is undesirable for discrimination to occur in relation to the Anti-Discrimination Act," but also said, "There are many complex and intertwined issues at stake, and if new debates and conflicts intensify over this, we may not be able to address immediate tasks."

In response, Kwon criticized Lee for citing other issues as difficulties, replying, "If you approach it that way, it will never get done."
