Targeting Employees in Their 20s to 40s of Childbearing Age
Bringing the Program Directly to Workplaces

Seocho District in Seoul is launching the nation’s first “Mobile Infertility Prevention Academy” targeting working adults of childbearing age. This academy is a customized infertility prevention education program for employees, designed to address rising infertility rates and declining birth rates. The first session was held on May 13 at the Seocho branch of Handok Motors.

Seocho District Launches Nation’s First “Mobile Infertility Prevention Academy” A special lecture on healthy pregnancy. Provided by Seocho District.

The “Mobile Infertility Prevention Academy” will be held a total of eight times?twice each at four different institutions?between May and July, and again from September to October. The program targets male and female employees in their 20s to 40s who are of childbearing age. Following the initial session at Handok Motors this month, additional sessions will be held at three other locations: Seoul Children's Hospital, Seoul Institute, and KCC. The district plans to continue supporting participating companies to foster a workplace culture that is friendly to pregnancy and childbirth.

The curriculum covers practical topics such as happy marriage, healthy pregnancy, dietary therapy, and exercise routines that can be implemented in daily life. In particular, it provides practical information on lifestyle habits to improve fertility, the importance of regular health checkups, and the “NaPro pregnancy method,” which scientifically analyzes women’s physiological indicators. The dietary therapy class includes a hands-on lesson on making salmon poke to teach balanced nutrition, while the exercise therapy class allows participants to practice personalized exercise routines for health management.

After the training, follow-up care is provided in cooperation with the public health center and Yangjae Maternal and Child Health Center. If any abnormal findings are detected, participants are supported through further detailed examinations, ensuring ongoing health management rather than a one-time educational event.

Seocho District Mayor Jun Sungsoo stated, “This ‘Mobile Infertility Prevention Academy’ is a practical health management program that delivers essential information directly to working adults of childbearing age who are busy with their jobs and social lives. We will continue to expand health education to support healthy pregnancies and childbirth for our residents and contribute to increasing the national birth rate.”
