Korea Meteorological Administration: Magnitude 2.4 Earthquake in Sea Northwest of Heuksando, No Damage Expected

At 1:01:21 p.m. on May 18, the Korea Meteorological Administration announced that a magnitude 2.4 earthquake occurred in the sea area 83 kilometers northwest of Heuksando, Sinan County, South Jeolla Province.

The epicenter was located at latitude 35.19 degrees north and longitude 124.77 degrees east, with a depth of 7 kilometers.

The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "There is not expected to be any earthquake damage."
