Memorable Experiences with Cultural Performances (Comedy Concert), Children's Art Contest, and Book Exchange Event
Busan Bank (President Bang Seongbin) successfully held the 'I LOVE (Aisarang) Festival' on May 17 to celebrate Family Month and to offer a special day to families with young children.
The event, held around the Busan Bank headquarters, was organized under the theme of "A Joyful Day with Family" and featured a variety of hands-on programs. More than 3,000 citizens participated, creating warm memories together.
The day's festivities began with an opening ceremony and included a range of activities such as the Play on Busan cultural performance (comedy concert), the 4th BNK Busan Bank Children's Art Contest, the 22nd I LOVE Book Exchange Fair, a children's market town, an Imagination Village institution experience booth, and the I LOVE Playground. These diverse contents received enthusiastic responses from both children and their families.
The 'Play on Busan' cultural performance, held at Ocean Hall on the 2nd floor of the headquarters, was a laughter-filled comedy concert that heightened the festival atmosphere. In particular, the children's art contest, held at the outdoor plaza near the headquarters, attracted more than 500 children, who showcased their creative drawing skills on themes such as artificial intelligence (AI), the environment, and the new Gadeokdo Airport.
Additionally, the book exchange fair, now in its 22nd year, is one of Busan Bank's flagship social contribution programs. It featured a book-sharing event where three used books could be exchanged for one new book, as well as a donation campaign to support families with newborns, adding further meaning to the occasion.
Citizens who participated in the donation campaign received a new 'One Book One Busan' book, sharing the joy of giving. The donations collected on this day are scheduled to be delivered to vulnerable families with newborns through the ChildFund Korea Green Umbrella Foundation.
Other participating organizations offered a variety of experience programs, including the Green Umbrella Foundation's "Upcycling Keyring Making," the Busan Community Chest of Korea's "Fruit Caricature," Save the Children's "Learning about the Climate Crisis and Children's Rights through Play," the Busan Volunteer Center's "Blockchain-based Busan Volunteer Bank," the National Busan Science Museum's "D.N.A (Data·Network·AI) Exhibition," the 119 Busan Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters' "Fire Safety Experience," and the Busan Nambu Police Station's "Today I'm a Little Police Officer."
Key figures such as Oh Euntaek, Mayor of Nam-gu, Busan; Ahn Youngbong, Chief of Busan Nambu Police Station; Lee Sugyeong, Head of the ChildFund Korea Green Umbrella Foundation for the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam region; and Park Seonuk, Secretary General of the Busan Community Chest of Korea, also attended the event, adding warmth to the community-centered festival.
Bang Seongbin, President of Busan Bank, said, "Seeing children and parents enjoying themselves together for Family Month warmed my heart," and added, "We will continue to expand family-centered cultural programs and social contribution projects that promote the value of sharing in the local community."
