Gwangju Urban Corporation (President Kim Seungnam) announced on May 18 that it recently conducted a job mentoring work experience program for unemployed local youth.
This program, organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and participated in by local industries, offered a practical job experience program for 30 unemployed young people in the region. The event featured a series of step-by-step programs, including a company tour of Gwangju Urban Corporation, a public institution employment briefing session, and mentoring by current employees.
The participating youth learned about Gwangju Urban Corporation's organizational structure, job system, and major projects through the company tour and visited business sites. They were provided with practical recruitment information through guidance on public institution hiring procedures and the latest employment trends. In particular, the one-on-one career mentoring between new employees of Gwangju Urban Corporation and job-seeking youth offered personalized employment coaching, which was met with a very positive response from participants.
President Kim Seungnam stated, "I hope this program will be a valuable opportunity for young people to directly experience work at public institutions," adding, "Gwangju Urban Corporation will continue to actively support youth job creation and entry into society in cooperation with the local community."
