Jang Miran, the 2nd Vice Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will climb Jangtaesan with students from Giseong Elementary School in Daejeon Metropolitan City on May 16.
As part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Korea Tourism Top 100 Stamp Tour, Vice Minister Jang will visit Giseong Elementary School before the climb to emphasize the importance of school sports to the students and will also present them with jump ropes as gifts.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on May 16 that, in celebration of Family Month in May, it launched the Stamp Tour on May 1 at 87 of the sites selected for the Korea Tourism Top 100.
To mark Family Month, the ministry distributed 10,000 family-type stamp passports, and during the peak travel season in July, it plans to distribute an additional 20,000 individual-type stamp passports.
Jangtaesan is one of the Korea Tourism Top 100 sites. Visitors to designated locations participating in the Stamp Tour, including Jangtaesan Recreational Forest, can receive a "stamp passport" on site and collect stamps. The ministry stated that at the end of the year, the person with the most visits will be selected as an "Honorary Ambassador for Korea Tourism" and will receive an award from the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with a commemorative gift.
Vice Minister Jang said, "Through the Korea Tourism Top 100 Stamp Tour, which introduces Korea's top tourist destinations to the public and encourages the revitalization of regional tourism, I hope everyone can decorate their own stamp passport and discover the joys of regional tourism. In particular, through this event, I want to introduce the beauty of Korea's famous mountains to children by climbing Jangtaesan together and highlight the importance of physical fitness."
