The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced on May 15 that it had applied for arrest warrants for a woman in her 20s, referred to as A, and a man in his 40s, referred to as B, on charges of extortion and attempted extortion, respectively.

A is accused of threatening Son in June of last year, saying she would reveal that she was pregnant with his child, and demanding money and valuables. It is reported that A sent Son an ultrasound image of a fetus and extorted more than 300 million won from him.

B, an acquaintance of A, is accused of approaching Son's side in March of this year and attempting to obtain 70 million won.

On May 7, Son's side filed a complaint with the police, stating that the suspects had deceived them by pretending to be pregnant in order to extort money.

The police arrested the suspects the previous day and searched their residences, seizing mobile phones and other items.

The police are currently investigating the specific details of the crime.
