Dongsin University announced on May 15 that it recently invited Choi Nanyoung, author of "Cafe Neverland," to hold the "One Book Talk Concert."

At the concert held on the afternoon of May 14 in the main auditorium on the second floor of the Innovation Convergence Campus, Choi delivered a lecture on the theme "Finding My Neverland in Relationships." She sincerely shared ways to discover one's true self within relationships between people, which was met with an enthusiastic response. About 120 people, including local residents, students, and faculty members, attended the concert and engaged in various discussions about relationships.

"Cafe Neverland" centers on the cheerful incidents that occur as Han Yeonju, a cold-natured civil servant, and four troublemaking elderly people run a cafe together. The book depicts the process of understanding each other through communication and finding healing within relationships. It was selected as Naju City's Book of the Year for 2025.

For attendees who had not yet read the book, Choi introduced a song with lyrics she had written herself and presented a video summarizing the contents of the book. She also recited a poem she wrote to offer heartfelt comfort to those struggling with difficulties in relationships.

During the subsequent Q&A session, questions were asked about her motivation for becoming a writer, what inspired the subject matter of the book, and how to protect one's sense of self when feeling lost in relationships.

Choi stated, "Everyone needs their own Neverland where they can find peace. We are all walking through the complicated forest of relationships. Although this book begins with isolation, disconnection, and wounds, it moves toward understanding, connection, and healing, showing that each of us can become someone's Neverland."
