Mapo-gu (District Mayor Park Kangsu) held the inauguration ceremony for the "2025 Storm and Flood Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters" at the Disaster Prevention Center on the 5th floor of Mapo-gu Office on May 15, officially launching its summer disaster preparedness posture.
This year's comprehensive summer countermeasures will be implemented for five months, from May 15 to October 15. The district has formed a heatwave management task force, established a continuous response system, and commenced summer disaster response operations.
A total of 16 people, including Park Kangsu, Mayor of Mapo-gu, the Deputy Mayor, and heads of relevant departments, attended the inauguration ceremony, reaffirming their commitment to summer safety management.
Park Kangsu, Mayor of Mapo-gu, stated, "Starting with this inauguration ceremony, we will thoroughly prepare for summer storm and flood disasters and do our utmost to protect the lives and property of our residents."
On May 13, Mapo-gu held the "2025 Summer Comprehensive Countermeasures Briefing," where detailed implementation plans and interdepartmental cooperation measures were shared, taking proactive steps for disaster response.
