Lecture by Author Lee Jueun Invites Participants
Registration Opens from May 15
Yeosu City Library announced on May 15 that it will hold the 'Visiting Wisdom Forest Provincial Lecture' at 7 p.m. on May 28 in the multipurpose auditorium of the Yi Sunshin Library.
This lecture is a humanities program designed to foster the humanities literacy of Jeonnam Province residents and to promote a culture of reading. This year, the Yi Sunshin Library, which is under the Yeosu City Library, was selected as a participating institution.
This session will feature writer Lee Jueun, author of works such as 'Scandal World History' and 'Secret World History.' The lecture will be held under the theme 'The Man Who Changed History by Killing His Wives (Subtitle: The Story of Henry VIII and His Six Wives).' Citizens who wish to participate can register through the Yeosu City Library website. A library official stated, "We hope this lecture will provide an opportunity for people to approach world history, which may have seemed difficult, in a more interesting and accessible way."
