Dawon Nexview announced on May 15 that it will sign a contract worth approximately KRW 3.3 billion to supply HIGH SPEED BONDER DUAL equipment to WIN FAITH TRADING LIMITED, the Hong Kong subsidiary of SUMEC ITC (SUMEC International Technology Co., Ltd.), a state-owned comprehensive trading company in China. This amount is equivalent to about 17% of last year’s annual sales (approximately KRW 18.7 billion).
The contract period runs from this month through September, and the equipment will be delivered to a semiconductor testing specialist designated by SUMEC. Through this deal, Dawon Nexview has established a foundation for full-scale entry into the Chinese semiconductor equipment market.
The company stated, "The HSB-D (High Speed Bonder DUAL) to be supplied this time is a next-generation high-speed device capable of bonding up to 10,000 probe pins per day, significantly improving productivity and quality stability compared to previous models." The company added, "Recently, demand for DRAM for AI and HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) in China has surged, leading to rapid growth in the semiconductor test equipment market and drawing strong interest from SUMEC."
A Dawon Nexview representative emphasized, "This contract is more than just equipment supply; it marks a turning point for showcasing our technological capabilities in the Chinese market. Through long-term collaboration with local companies, we aim to strengthen our presence in the Asian market and expand our global supply chain."
SUMEC ITC is a key affiliate under China National Machinery Industry Corporation (Sinomach), conducting global business in a wide range of fields including electronics, energy, materials, and trade. Recently, the company has been focusing on expanding its business into semiconductor test equipment and securing its supply chain.
Meanwhile, since its transfer to KOSDAQ in June last year, Dawon Nexview has continued to announce individual sales and supply contracts, accelerating order growth. Expectations for future performance growth are rising with this latest contract.
