Schneider Electric, a global leader in energy management and automation, is showcasing a wide range of power infrastructure solutions. The company aims to lead the era of carbon neutrality through "electrification" based on 50 years of expertise, with a commitment to building a sustainable future.


On May 15, Jiwung Kwon, CEO of Schneider Electric Korea, held a press conference at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, stating, "The power infrastructure industry is undergoing a major transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI), data centers, and the transition to smart factories." He added, "Schneider Electric will support customers in achieving both sustainable growth and energy optimization through integrated digital and electrification solutions."

To mark the 50th anniversary of Schneider Electric Korea, CEO Kwon highlighted the company's key achievements. He also shared the company's energy transition strategy, centered on digitalization and electrification, and emphasized the importance of AI-based energy efficiency through major partnerships such as those with SKT and NVIDIA. He stated, "With 50 years of accumulated experience and expertise, we will take the lead in driving carbon neutrality in industry and society and in building a sustainable future."


Since the previous day, Schneider Electric has been participating in the 'International Electric Power Exhibition 2025 (EPTK 2025)' at COEX, presenting a variety of power infrastructure solutions. Under the core slogan "The Future of Green Energy Transition Through Electrification," the company is introducing its '3S Solutions,' which include ▲Sustainability ▲Smart Supply ▲Smart Management.

In the following session, Song Inkwon, team leader at Schneider Electric Korea, presented on smart power solutions and introduced directions for innovation in digitalized and electrified manufacturing processes. Through the company's "lighthouse factory" cases, he demonstrated how smart power solutions contribute to manufacturing innovation, and stressed that companies can respond to carbon neutrality requirements by optimizing power consumption and integrating digital and automation technologies.


Song repeatedly emphasized Schneider Electric's vision. He said, "Based on smart factory cases and data validated in actual production environments, we are providing customers with solutions that maximize energy efficiency and improve productivity." He added, "We will continue to actively support the achievement of carbon neutrality and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) management goals through digital innovation technologies."

Meanwhile, Schneider Electric, headquartered in France, is a global energy management specialist recognized as a leader in manufacturing innovation through its Global Lighthouse Factory certification by the World Economic Forum (WEF).


To date, the company operates 25 sustainability lighthouse factories worldwide and is running approximately 40 lighthouse factories in countries including France, the United States, China, and Indonesia. All of these factories are evaluated as successfully improving productivity and ensuring sustainability through digital technologies.


Notably, Schneider Electric's Le Vaudreuil factory in France and Lexington factory in the United States achieved up to a 30% reduction in energy consumption and up to a 64% reduction in water usage. The Batam factory in Indonesia reduced maintenance costs by 17% and achieved an impressive 44% decrease in equipment downtime.
