This expo, which runs until the 18th, is hosted by Dongin Exhibition Co., Ltd. and sponsored by the Korea Festival Forum and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Over 50 local governments and tourism-related organizations from across the country have gathered in one place to introduce their representative festivals and tourism content in this large-scale event.
The county, in cooperation with the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province and the Jeonbuk Tourism Association, operated a joint Jeonbuk promotional booth to widely promote Sunchang’s unique tourist attractions and representative local festivals. The county especially highlighted Sunchang’s appeal as a tourist destination centered on nature-based healing spots such as Gangcheonsan County Park, Yangjicheon Ecological Rest Area, and Yonggwolsan Sky Trail.
The county also focused on promoting the 20th Sunchang Jangryu Festival, which will be held this fall, emphasizing the festival’s unique content that combines traditional fermented sauce culture and hands-on experiences exclusive to Sunchang.
At the expo site, a roulette event was held to offer a variety of Sunchang specialty products, encouraging visitor participation and adding excitement. The event drew significant attention from family visitors and young people, creating a lively atmosphere throughout the venue.
County Governor Choi Youngil stated, "This expo is a meaningful opportunity to directly introduce the appeal of Sunchang tourism and to meet the diverse travel demands from across the country. We will continue to enhance the brand value of Sunchang through ongoing online and offline promotion and the development of tourism content."
Meanwhile, the county plans to continue participating in the expo until the 18th to further raise awareness of Sunchang tourism nationwide and to attract a wider range of external tourism demand in the future by strengthening its promotional strategies both online and offline.
