Inspection of Marine Pollution Accident Status
Mokpo Coast Guard (Chief Chae Sujun) announced on May 15 that on May 14, it visited Jeoyu 3 Company, an oil storage facility located at the oil pier in Daebul Port, Yeongam-gun, Jeollanam-do, to inspect the facility's management status and safety system.
This inspection was carried out under the supervision of the Mokpo Coast Guard, together with related organizations such as Mokpo Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries and Yeongam Fire Station, as a measure to prevent large-scale oil spill accidents at oil storage facilities in advance and to enhance the safety of the facilities.

On this day, Chief Chae conducted a thorough on-site inspection by checking the management status of pollution prevention facilities and confirming the operation of the safety system throughout the facility.
He also listened to the opinions of those involved and emphasized that strict management and inspection are necessary, as an oil pollution accident at an oil storage facility could have a fatal impact on the environment.
Chief Chae Sujun stated, "Through this joint inspection, we will enhance the safety of oil storage facilities and continue our efforts to protect public safety," adding, "We will maximize the effectiveness of safety management through cooperation with related organizations."
