Samsung Electronics announced on May 15 that it held the '2025 Samsung Middle East Air Solution Day' from May 8 to 10 in Suzhou and Shanghai, China, targeting HVAC professionals from the Middle East in order to strengthen its presence in the Middle Eastern heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) market. Along with the acquisition of FlaktGroup, Europe's largest HVAC company, announced the previous day, this move is seen as part of Samsung Electronics' efforts to gradually enhance its competitiveness in the HVAC market.

'Air Solution Day' is an annual seminar-style event where Samsung shares market trends and industry updates with major overseas HVAC partners and consultants, and proposes its own differentiated air solutions. This year's event was held in Suzhou and Shanghai, China, which serve as key production bases for Samsung Electronics' air conditioners and are equipped with a wide range of HVAC product infrastructure. Considering that Samsung has a home appliance manufacturing plant in Suzhou, the company chose China as the venue and invited HVAC professionals from Middle Eastern countries.

More than 40 participants from eight countries, including Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), attended the event to learn about Samsung's products and technologies tailored to the Middle Eastern market. After the seminar, attendees visited key project sites in Suzhou and Shanghai, such as Samsung Electronics' air conditioner factory, the luxury residential complex 'Oriental Arc,' and the 'Suzhou International Financial Center,' where Samsung's HVAC products are installed. They also experienced B2B solutions such as 'SmartThings Pro' and 'Building IoT,' in addition to Samsung's HVAC products.

Recently, Samsung Electronics has been actively winning B2B contracts for large-scale facilities such as major residential complexes, comprehensive medical centers, and luxury resorts in the Middle East. The company's strategy is to target both the residential and commercial markets in the region through smart solutions that provide integrated support for remote maintenance, unified energy management, and automated operation, all based on high-efficiency heat pump products.

Choi Hangseok, Executive Vice President of the Air Solution Business Team at Samsung Electronics' DA Division, said, "We are significantly expanding our influence in the global HVAC market with smart solutions that combine Samsung's differentiated product technology and connectivity," adding, "We will continue to strengthen our technology and service support in local markets and provide optimal, customized solutions to our partners and customers."
