Cooperation to Attract Investment in Hwaseong City

Hwaseong City, Gyeonggi Province, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for investment exchange cooperation with the Burnaby Board of Trade at the Hilton Metrotown Hotel in Burnaby, Canada, on the 13th (local time).

Under this agreement, the two organizations will collaborate in several areas: ▲sharing economic exchanges and investment issues; ▲expanding cooperation opportunities between companies wishing to enter the Korean market and promising companies in Hwaseong City; ▲facilitating investment exchange and administrative support between Hwaseong City and Burnaby Board of Trade member companies; and ▲promoting Hwaseong City's investment environment and sharing potential investment companies through the Burnaby Board of Trade.
The Burnaby Board of Trade is a networking and investment exchange organization in Burnaby, British Columbia, western Canada, with a 110-year history. It currently has about 1,000 member companies and is engaged in activities such as building Burnaby's business ecosystem, attracting investment and holding investor relations (IR) events, and providing resources for its members.
Prior to the signing ceremony, Hwaseong City held an event for Burnaby Board of Trade member companies to introduce the city's investment appeal and incentive programs for foreign-invested companies.
Kim Kiyong, Director of Corporate Investment Office of Hwaseong City, stated, "Vancouver and Burnaby in Canada are regions that are highly receptive to advanced technologies and actively invest in the Asian region," adding, "We will make efforts to ensure that this MOU leads to tangible results such as overseas market development and investment exchange."
Meanwhile, from the 12th to the 17th, Hwaseong City is visiting the Vancouver area in Canada to identify the latest investment trends and to promote Hwaseong City's corporate infrastructure.
