Chosun University announced on May 14 that its AI·SW Education Center, in collaboration with the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, successfully completed the 'Special Lecture for Teachers at AI Information Education Hub Schools and Digital-Based Education Innovation Leading Schools.'

The special lecture, held on the 18th at Naju Spacewalk, was led by Professor Cho Youngjoo from Chosun University and teaching assistant Lim Chanhyung from the Department of Computer Engineering, College of IT Convergence. They delivered lectures to teachers from AI Information Education Hub Schools and Digital-Based Education Innovation Leading Schools in Jeonnam.

Under the theme of 'The Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Omnipresent AI Perspective,' the special lecture addressed key issues necessary for digital education transformation. These included: examples of educational use of generative AI; changes in the role of schools in the digital transformation era; and insights into AI ethics and responsible use of technology.

In particular, the lecture was conducted in a participatory format that encouraged teachers to share their concerns and seek solutions together, which received a very positive response from the participants.

Professor Cho Youngjoo said, "The role of teachers and schools is becoming even more important for students living in the AI era," and added, "We will continue to lead various training programs for future education in cooperation with local education offices and schools."

A representative from the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education stated, "We will continue to strengthen the digital capabilities of teachers, including those at general schools," and added, "Collaboration with Chosun University is an important asset that provides practical help to the educational field."
