Jeju Island is filled with a variety of festivals in May that the whole family can enjoy together. Visitors can experience culture, art, and hands-on family programs set against the backdrop of Jeju’s lush natural scenery.

First, the 2025 Wild Orchid Tea Festival will be held at the Wild Orchid Farm in Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo-si, Jeju, from May 16 to May 25, 2025. During the festival, the tea fields of Wild Orchid Farm, which have received the global Regenerative Organic Certification (ROC) known for its most rigorous standards, will be open to the public for the first time. Wild Orchid is the first in the world to receive ROC in the tea category. Throughout the festival, visitors can sample a variety of blended teas, enjoy organic food booths, a kids’ zone and art workshops for children, as well as live performances by renowned artists from Korea and abroad.

At Boromwat in Pyoseon-myeon, Seogwipo-si, the Boromwat Green Onion Festival is taking place from May 1 to May 23, featuring a blend of culture and agriculture. The festival aims to promote the excellence of Jeju-grown green onions through green onion harvesting experiences, green onion dish tastings, direct sales of agricultural products, and local art performances. Following this, from May 24 to June 15, the Boromwat Buckwheat Flower Festival will be held, where visitors can enjoy the spectacular sight of white buckwheat flowers blanketing the vast fields. The festival offers beautiful buckwheat flower landscapes, various photo zones, and walking trails to fully appreciate the spring in Jeju.

At Hueree Natural Park in Namwon-eup, Seogwipo-si, the Hueree Spring Hydrangea Festival runs until June 15, showcasing hydrangeas and a variety of other spring flowers in full bloom. Visitors can admire colorful flowers such as hydrangeas, canola, and young barley throughout the spacious gardens. There are also hands-on programs and photo zones for families. This is one of Jeju’s representative spring festivals, offering the chance to relax in nature while strolling through beautiful flower fields.

In addition, various other festivals will enrich Jeju in May, including the Samda Park Night Concert and the Jeju Folk Village Traditional Spring Flower Festival. Jeju’s May festivals provide a special opportunity to experience the island’s nature and culture with family, partners, or friends. This spring, it is highly recommended to visit Jeju and enjoy these diverse festivals that can only be found on the island.
