Support for the Development of Generative AI, XR, and Metaverse Content
in the Defense and Science Sectors
The Daejeon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency announced that it is accepting applications from companies wishing to participate in the "2025 Metaverse Content Best Practice Discovery and Production Support Project" until May 20, 2025.
The agency will support companies that wish to produce and commercialize content using generative AI, extended reality (XR), and metaverse technologies in the defense and science sectors, which are specialized fields in Daejeon.
Eligible applicants are ICT and content-related companies registered in Daejeon. The program will support a total of three projects?two designated projects and one open project?with up to 90 million KRW in funding per project.
The initiative is divided into "designated projects," which involve developing generative AI, XR, and metaverse content based on demand requests from military units attached to the announcement, and "open projects," which involve developing generative AI, XR, and metaverse content that can be practically applied in the field based on the needs of the demand source.
A representative from the Daejeon Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency stated, "Through this support program, we will actively assist Daejeon's ICT and content companies in creating innovative cases utilizing generative AI, XR, and metaverse technologies."
