Kakao Entertainment Launches K-Culture Fan Platform 'Verys'
Singer and actress IU has launched her first official global fan community since her debut.
On May 13, Kakao Entertainment announced that it has opened IU's official fan community on the global K-culture fan platform 'Verys.' Following her large-scale world tour last year and critical acclaim for the Netflix series 'You Have Done Well' this year, IU continues to expand her fandom and will strengthen communication with global fans through Verys. Records from the official Daum fan cafe 'From. IU' will also be gradually transferred to Verys.
The community on Verys will feature a special space for global fans who have joined the official fan club 'UAENA 8th.' Once fans complete valid verification on Verys, they can receive a digital membership card and access exclusive content such as various videos and images prepared only for fan club members in the 'UAENA' section of the community.
IU will also interact with fans through a variety of birthday events. Every year on May 16, her birthday, she has hosted a live broadcast to share updates and answer pre-submitted questions from fans via real-time chat. This year, she plans to hold a 'Voice Live' on Verys at 10:30 p.m. on May 14, where she will create new and meaningful memories with fans in the newly established space.
Offline events have also been prepared. From May 15 to May 18, a one-day cafe event called 'IU HBD CAFE' will be held simultaneously in three major areas of Seoul: Seongsu, Yeonnam, and Yongsan. Fans who are official fan club members will receive specially made merchandise along with beverages at the event.
A representative from Kakao Entertainment stated, "We plan to continue various initiatives so that IU, as well as a diverse range of artists and content IP, can enjoy meaningful experiences with global fans through Verys."
