The fire that broke out at a large logistics center located in Bubal-eup, Icheon-si, Gyeonggi-do was brought under initial control after about six hours.
According to the fire authorities, the fire that started at the large logistics center in Icheon at 10:29 a.m. on the 13th was initially contained at 4:04 p.m., about six hours later. As a result, response level 1 was lifted. Initial containment means that the flames are under control and there is no risk of the fire spreading further.

So far, there have been no reported deaths or injuries as a result of this fire. The fire authorities confirmed that 178 people evacuated the building. At the time of the fire, there were 121 people on the first basement floor, 27 people on the first and second above-ground floors, and 30 people on the third floor. It appears that all individuals present at the time have evacuated.
The fire is believed to have started on the third floor, and it has been confirmed that the fire did not spread to the first basement floor or the first and second above-ground floors. The fire authorities began searching the building for people at 1:16 p.m., but as of now, no unusual findings have been reported.
The logistics center where the fire occurred is a building with three above-ground floors and one basement level, constructed with precast concrete (PC), and has a total floor area of about 80,000 square meters. The center stores a large volume of goods. By floor, frozen foods are stored on the first basement level, paper products such as toilet paper on the first and second above-ground floors, and household items such as razors and electric fans on the third floor. It is also known that lithium-ion batteries for electric fans were stored on the third floor.
A fire department official stated, "The main flames have been brought under control, and we will continue searching the interior for people and extinguishing remaining embers. Once the fire is completely out, we will investigate the exact extent of the damage and the cause of the fire."
