Gwangju Urban Corporation (President Kim Seungnam) announced on the 13th that it held a joint personal information protection and information security training session on the 9th in the main conference room at its headquarters for employees of public organizations under Gwangju City, including Gwangju Tourism Corporation, Gwangju Transportation Corporation, and Gwangju Environmental Corporation.
This training was organized to proactively respond to the recent increase in cyber threats and to strengthen the personal information protection and information security capabilities of public institution employees. Employees from each organization attended the session, where they were reminded of the importance of personal information protection and learned a variety of information security guidelines that can be applied in their daily work.
The training, conducted by an external expert, covered practical topics such as: the latest security threat trends; examples of social engineering-based attacks; security guidelines that can be implemented during work; and response procedures in the event of a security incident.
Kim Seungnam, President of Gwangju Urban Corporation, stated, "Personal information protection and information security are crucial elements in maintaining the trust of our citizens," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to protect citizens' valuable personal information through ongoing training and strict adherence to information security guidelines."
