The Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced on the 13th that it had held the "2nd Joint Briefing Session on Future Tomorrow Work Experience and Job Support Policies."
Approximately 60 executives and employees from companies in the Jeonnam region attended the joint briefing session, which took place that day at the Open Maru Hall of the Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This session was organized as part of the operation of the Honam Regional Support Center for Future Tomorrow Work Experience, a project supported by the Ministry of Employment and Labor. The event was structured in two parts: the first part provided information on the Future Tomorrow Work Experience project, and the second part explained job support policies from relevant organizations.
Six organizations participated in the 2nd joint briefing session, including the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Jeonnam Province (Jeonnam Job Support Policies); Yeosu Employment Welfare Plus Center (Employment Incentives); Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Youth Job Leap Incentives); Human Resources Development Service of Korea (Vocational Competency Development Training); and Jeonnam Small and Medium Business Job Economy Promotion Agency (Comprehensive Guide to Jeonnam Job Support Projects).
Chae Hwaseok, Executive Vice Chairman of the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated, "Jeonnam is experiencing an accelerated economic downturn due to regional extinction and population decline, and in particular, Yeosu has been designated as a region for preemptive response to industrial crisis, which has heightened the sense of crisis in the local economy. I hope that this briefing session will provide companies in the Jeonnam region with an opportunity to actively utilize government business support policies to overcome the crisis."
Meanwhile, the Honam Regional Support Center for Future Tomorrow Work Experience, operated by the Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry, is an organization that supports the expansion of work experience opportunities for young people in Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, and Jeju.
